Manage the technical efforts required to audit legacy systems and rework IT data and voice infrastructure. Plan and execute rework of data center primary raised floor systems, UPS and Genset backup power systems and ATS, power distribution systems, Emergency Power Off (EPO) switches, wips and total rack amperage requirements and eletrical grounding grid design. Implement automated administration infrastructure. Architec network infrastructure for high availity and full redundancy. Evaluate environmental systems controlling multiple air handlers (Libert), smoke detectors and fire control systems (FMC 200) . Evaluate cooling for high heat load PC and blade server technology for data center. Redundant Networks (Apr. 03-Feb. 04) Facilities Manager
Manage the technical efforts required to provide on-site support of construction and changes to facilities and management systems in support of multiple data centers' infrastructure for Redundant Networks and its customers. Exercise management direction of technically complex and highly visible projects. Utenzi (InterLan Technologies) (Jan. 01-Mar. 01) Systems Engineer
Manage the technical efforts required to incorporate power management, security access, environmental systems and network management systems into the Network Operations Center (NOC) to provide on and off site support of installation and changes to multiple Data Center facilities for Utenzi and its customers. These systems included on-site power generators (CP&L Premier Power Solutions) power switching, power distribution systems and UPS systems using Square D Powerlogic software and hardware. Evaluate Security Access systems incorporating smart card access, video cameras, biometric devices, asset tracking and personnel tracking systems into a central data storage system with remote access. Evaluated environmental systems controlling multiple air handlers (Libert), smoke detectors, pre-combustion particle detectors and fire control systems (FMC 200) in key data equipment areas as well as employee work areas. Test network management systems using many vendors' systems to give access to customers and access for the NOC to network elements within the Utenzi infrastructure. Manage the day to day activities of up to 10 employees and contractors to accomplish these tasks and evaluate their performance for review.
